Founder & Certified Thermal Engineer
Richard is a Certified Engineer who specialises in Thermal Engineering. He has been in a directive position of thermal engineering companies for 40 years and has over 50 years of experience in furnacing and engineering. He founded Prestige Furnaces and Engineering in 1997, which gave way for other companies he currently co-founds such as Prestige Thermal Energy, formed in 2005, and Supertherm (Pty) Ltd in 2010. He has led and completed many successful engineering projects internationally and locally.
Director
Paul is one of the Directors of Supertherm (Pty) Ltd. With 26 years of experience in the Thermal Energy Industry, Paul has progressed Technotherm into the waste-to-energy field through effective R&D, team management and development of commercial plants. He holds a Marketing Diploma which guided him into covering all aspects of business including marketing, sales, project management, site supervision and hands-on delegation. He has headed site installations locally in South Africa and in the US.
Process / Chemical Engineer
Adolf is an experienced Process / Chemical Engineer responsible for process design, operation and implementation in the fields of energy and processes related to chemicals. In his more than 25 years' career as a Process / Chemical Engineer he has conducted feasibility studies and risk assessments (HAZOPs), and is proficient in the development of new process designs inclusive of simulating or modelling such processes. He has worked in both corporate and consulting environments, and he is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
Chemical Engineer, Waste-to-Energy
Sagar holds a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and specializes in waste-to-energy. His core responsibilities are identifying and resolving technical issues that may arise during the commissioning phase, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring assigned engineering projects, and optimizing the cost of plant equipment and its ancillaries, to name a few. As an ECSA Candidate Engineer, he remains committed to industry excellence and innovation.
Mechanical Engineering & Project Management
Roelof has 25 years of experience in the bearing field and material handling design. He also has 12 years of experience in manufacturing management, which makes him familiar with all major products and processes in the manufacturing and mining environment. He has been successful in the thermal industry and in handling project management, and is able to assist clients across more products and service industries. His background in Mechanical Engineering and Fitting & Turning makes him able to assist with hands-on maintenance on site.
Electrical Department Manager
Andre has a National Technical Certificate (NTC 4) and has built over 34 years of experience in the Electrical Industry. He now manages the entire Electrical Department and can conduct complete electrical commissioning locally and internationally. He also oversees planning and execution of electrical projects including instrumentation, power distribution, and control systems, and he is fully responsible for PLC and HMI programming across multiple automation platforms.
Senior Draughtsman & Project Manager
Troye holds a CAD and Draughting Diploma with 26 years of experience as a draughtsman and 21 years of experience in project management. He is well engaged in design implementation from concept to detailing, planning, scheduling, and project and site coordination, including site and new equipment inspection. He is also involved as the mechanical pivotal attendee on HAZOP studies.
Workshop Manager
Stanton has 23 years of workshop management experience. He obtained National Technical Certificates 1 to 4 and gained vast knowledge and experience on different production machines, receiving training on them. He can manage and oversee full production in the workshop of the pyrolysis lab. He also has experience in procurement and expediting of outsourced fabrications.
